For Pressure Washing Companies

An answering service for pressure washing companies — quote, book, and text before the pump shuts off.

Sam asks what surface (concrete, wood, vinyl, roof), the square footage, the access, and books from your service catalog. You read the SMS while you're still washing the current driveway.

Why the phone keeps getting missed

Pressure washers can't hear their phones over the pump. That's not a metaphor — a 4 GPM unit at 4,000 PSI runs at 85+ decibels, and trying to take a quote call from 6 feet away from it is comedy. The result is the same as mobile detailers: 40-60% missed call rates during peak weeks, callbacks at 5 PM, customers gone. Worse: a pressure washer's call needs more qualifying than a mobile detail (surface type, square footage, soft-wash vs power-wash, access to a hose bib) and the on-the-job call almost always gets that qualifying wrong.

Spring through early fall is the rush. Driveways, decks, house siding, roofs, fleet washes, restaurant kitchens — the inbound mix is wide and the pricing model varies by surface. Soft-wash a roof; high-pressure a driveway; chemicals for mildew on a deck. A human answering service charges $200-300/mo to take a message that misses 80% of the qualifying detail. The detail is what determines whether the quote you give over the phone is the price you actually charge onsite.

How Sam handles your pressure washer calls

  1. 1

    Pick up every call

Sam picks up every call. Asks what surface — concrete, wood, vinyl siding, roof, deck, commercial — and the approximate square footage.

  2. 2

    Qualify and book

Sam asks the access questions (hose bib location, parking, gate codes) and the gotchas that derail a job onsite (active oil stains, recent staining on a deck, second-story access).

  3. 3

    Get the SMS

Quotes from your service catalog by surface type and square footage. Books the job. Texts you the address, the surface, the square footage, and the booked time.

What Sam asks every pressure washer caller

The qualifying script is built around your trade. Sam asks what matters for an accurate booking and a clean dispatch — not generic intake questions.

  • What's being washed — driveway, sidewalk, house siding, deck, roof, patio, fence, commercial?
  • What surface — concrete, brick, wood, composite, vinyl, stucco, shingle, tile?
  • Approximate square footage if you know?
  • For a roof: shingle, tile, or metal? Any moss or algae?
  • Soft-wash or power-wash? (Sam can explain when to use which)
  • Access — is there a hose bib outside, can the truck park within 100 feet?
  • Any gate codes or specific parking constraints?
  • Any specific stains — oil, rust, mildew, paint?
  • Single-story or two-story?
  • Service address and best contact phone
  • Any HOA requirements or scheduling restrictions?
Bilingual · EN / ES

Pressure washing has moderate bilingual demand on the homeowner side and high bilingual demand on the commercial side (restaurant kitchens, fleet washing, hospitality property managers). The bilingual line lets you say yes to the commercial multi-site account that has Spanish-speaking facilities managers — a 4-12 site contract that pays for the answering service many times over.

— Hola, ¿en qué le puedo ayudar?

— Sí, necesito una cita para mi camioneta, una Ford Explorer 2019.

— Perfecto. ¿Lavado completo, interior y exterior? Tengo el martes a las 10 de la mañana disponible.

Common questions

Does Sam know soft-wash from power-wash?

Yes — when the caller mentions a roof, second-story siding, or a delicate surface, Sam asks the soft-wash-vs-power-wash question and routes accordingly. The pricing in your catalog can differ by method; Sam picks the right line item based on the surface and caller's answers.

Can Sam quote a 2,400 sq ft driveway over the phone?

Yes, if your service catalog has flat or sq-ft pricing for concrete driveways. If your pricing is "site-visit-only quote" (common for larger commercial), Sam books a quote appointment instead. You configure which surfaces are auto-quoted and which require a walk.

What about commercial contracts and recurring services?

For commercial inbound, Sam captures the property type (restaurant, parking lot, fleet, etc.), the cadence the caller is asking about (monthly, quarterly), and the contact name and role. Then transfers or books a quote walk — commercial recurring contracts almost always need a real conversation, and Sam doesn't pretend otherwise.

I work alone and barely cover Starter's 250 minutes — is the upgrade worth it?

Most solo pressure washers stay on Starter year-round (250 minutes is 30-50 calls). Heavy spring weeks may push you over; the overage is $0.15/min. If you go above ~400 minutes for 3+ months running, the Pro tier ($129, 800 included) is usually cheaper than overage.
