Bilingual · EN / ES

A bilingual answering service that picks up the first time, in English or Spanish.

Sam answers your calls the way a bilingual front-desk would — detects the language on the first turn, asks the right qualifying questions for your trade, books the job into your calendar, and texts you the details before the caller hangs up.

What bilingual actually means here

Native Spanish, not translated Spanish

Sam speaks neutral Latin American Spanish with a natural cadence. Not a robotic translation. Customers who switch to Spanish mid-sentence don't notice anything change.

EN/ES auto-detect on the first turn

Sam picks up in English, listens to the caller's first sentence, and switches to Spanish if needed — usually before the caller has asked a question. No "press 2 for Spanish" tree.

Live transfer in either language

When Sam needs to hand off — a quote that's out of scope, an emergency, a contract job — the transfer carries the language. The caller doesn't have to start over.

Voicemail-to-SMS in the caller's language

If you're unreachable, Sam takes a message and texts you what was said, with the caller's language indicated. You reply in the same language. The thread feels like one person.

How it works

  1. 1

    Port or forward your number

Keep your existing business line. Forward unanswered calls to Sam, or route every call through Sam and have her ring your phone for the ones you want to take live.

  2. 2

Pick your trade and your service catalog

Sam learns the questions your trade needs to ask (vehicle make for detailing, system age for HVAC, fixture for plumbing) and your prices, hours, and service radius.

  3. 3

Get a one-line SMS after every call

Caller name, what they asked for, the time they booked, a link to the transcript. Sent within 60 seconds. In English or Spanish to match the caller.

Common questions

Does Sam actually speak Spanish, or just translate?

Sam is a real bilingual voice agent — a native-cadence Spanish voice and a separate English voice, each with their own LLM context. Not a translation layer. The Spanish voice is neutral Latin American (not Spain Spanish), which works across Mexican, Central American, and Caribbean Spanish speakers.

What happens if my caller switches between English and Spanish?

Sam follows. If a caller starts in English and switches to Spanish mid-call (common with first-generation Spanish-speakers in mixed-language households), Sam switches voice and continues the conversation. The transcript shows both languages with timestamps.

Do I need a bilingual employee on staff?

No. The whole point is that you don't. Sam handles the Spanish call end-to-end — qualifying, booking, taking a message. If a job actually needs a human conversation (a contract negotiation, a complex quote), Sam transfers to you and tells you in the SMS that the caller speaks Spanish so you can plan the callback.

How is this different from a regular answering service?

A regular answering service takes a message. Sam books the appointment, asks trade-specific qualifying questions, checks your calendar in real time, quotes from your service catalog, and texts you a one-line summary. The caller gets a confirmed booking; you get the details. Human services charge $150-300/mo for message-taking; Sam starts at $49/mo and does the work.

Will it cost me a bilingual call surcharge?

No. The same per-minute rate applies whether the call is English, Spanish, or mixed. Pricing is on the /pricing page — three tiers, all with 250-2,000 included minutes and a flat $0.15/min over.
