For Junk Hauling Companies

An answering service for junk hauling that books the haul while you are loading the truck.

Sam asks what needs to go, roughly how much, and where. Checks access and stairs. Gives a volume-based range from your pricing and books the pickup. You read it while you are still loading the last job.

Why the phone keeps getting missed

Junk hauling is a same-day, "can you come today" business, and the customer who calls wants an answer now. You are in the back of the truck wrestling a couch when the phone rings, and the caller wants to know if you can take a garage full of stuff this afternoon and what it costs. Miss the call and they book the next hauler — junk removal has almost no callback patience, because the customer wants the pile gone today, not a returned voicemail tonight.

The estimate runs on three things the caller has to describe: what the items are, roughly how much (a few items, a truckload, a whole estate cleanout), and the access — curbside, inside, upstairs, behind a gate. A human answering service takes "junk pickup, call back" and skips all of it, so you arrive blind and either underquoted or unable to fit the load. Bilingual coverage is thin, and a large share of cleanout, move-out, and post-construction-debris calls come from Spanish-speaking households and crews.

How Sam handles your junk hauler calls

  1. 1

    Pick up every call

Sam picks up while you are loading, asks what needs to go, roughly how much, and whether it is curbside, inside, or up stairs.

  2. 2

    Qualify and book

Sam gives a volume-based range from your pricing (eighth-truck, quarter, half, full) and books the pickup — same-day if you have a slot and the caller wants it.

  3. 3

    Get the SMS

You get an SMS with the items, the rough volume, the access notes, and the booked time. Spanish-speaking callers are flagged so you can staff the crew right.

What Sam asks every junk hauler caller

The qualifying script is built around your trade. Sam asks what matters for an accurate booking and a clean dispatch — not generic intake questions.

  • What needs to be hauled — furniture, appliances, yard waste, construction debris, a full cleanout?
  • Roughly how much — a few items, a truckload, multiple loads?
  • Where are the items — curbside, inside the home, garage, upstairs, basement?
  • Are there stairs, narrow doorways, or a gate to get through?
  • Any heavy single items — a piano, a hot tub, a safe, a fridge?
  • Anything that needs special disposal — paint, tires, electronics, mattresses?
  • Is this a residential cleanout, a move-out, or a job-site debris haul?
  • When do you want it gone — today, this week, a specific day?
  • Service address and any parking constraints for the truck?
  • Best contact number?
Bilingual · EN / ES

Junk hauling and cleanouts draw heavily on Spanish-speaking households, property managers, and construction crews clearing debris. In Sunbelt metros a large share of inbound is in Spanish, and a same-day caller will not wait for a callback. Sam takes the haul in Spanish — items, volume, access, booking — and texts you the details in English.

— Hola, ¿en qué le puedo ayudar?

— Sí, necesito una cita para mi camioneta, una Ford Explorer 2019.

— Perfecto. ¿Lavado completo, interior y exterior? Tengo el martes a las 10 de la mañana disponible.

Common questions

Can Sam give a price for a haul over the phone?

Sam quotes a volume-based range from your pricing — by how much of the truck the load fills (eighth, quarter, half, full) plus any special-item fees. The final price is confirmed onsite once the crew sees the pile, which is how most junk pricing works anyway, so the caller gets a real range without you being pinned to a number sight-unseen.

Does Sam handle same-day pickup requests?

Yes. Sam reads your calendar and books a same-day slot if you have one open and the caller wants it. If you are full for the day, Sam books the soonest available and texts you the job so you can squeeze it in if a slot frees up.

What about heavy or special-disposal items?

Sam asks about heavy single items (pianos, hot tubs, safes) and special-disposal items (paint, tires, electronics, mattresses) during intake and flags them in the SMS, so you bring the right crew size and account for disposal fees instead of finding out on arrival.

I run a single-truck operation — is this worth it?

It is built for the single truck. Starter at $49/mo covers most solo haulers. Same-day callers are exactly the ones you can't answer with your arms full of someone else's old furniture, and one recovered truckload haul pays for the month.
